Last night, I had a good time.
But It wasn't as good as our times.

Like when we cruised around the lake.
Or when almost got caught at the park.

Last night didn't feel right.
because it wasn't you by my side.

Nobody perfectly fills the empty spot in my heart like you did.
Nobody's kisses are as great as the ones you give.

Last night I dreamed that you were sitting right next to me.
Just like when we first met.
But in a small room with paper white walls,
and nothing inside accept for the two of us.

Our eyes meet again.
For the first time since the last.
I broke down in tears
Because of the time and love we shared are in the past.

Everything is so different.
Your blank expression as you looked into my eyes.
It isn't the same has how it used to be.
You looked lost, but content.

Nothing else happened in that blank white room.
I just sat there and cried to you
as you sat close to me and watched.

I was ready to say something before I looked into your eyes
but who knows what.
Maybe it was just another surprise,
Just a door to be kept shut.

The dream came to an end.
It seemed to last for only 10 seconds.
Not enough time for you to understand
What went through my head
or to say what I had planned.

This morning I woke up alone
to realize it was just a dream;
Just like everything else,
it was too good to be true.

And this morning I'm terrified
that it might be the only way
for me to be with you.

Things Change

When the weather can't decide to stay warm or cold.
When the leaves turn their colors bright and bold.

When the rain begins to fall and the wind begins to blow.
When the the farmers harvest and pumpkins grow.

The feeling hits you.
It's crisp air. It's distinct smell.
Leaves changed and leaves fell.
Leaving trees bare.

Just the same as when people change;
they leave the people they were with
alone in the cold and rain.
